A taste of trekking in Nepal
The rim land of the Kathmandu and Pokhara valleys offer fine walks and short treks: plenty of easy, seldom-trekked trails through scenic countryside interspersed with multi-ethnic villages. Our valley rim walks are a refreshing break from the city to experience unspoiled rural Nepal. These easy to moderate grade walks are suitable for people of all ages, with 4 to 6 hours of walking each day and not exceeding 2,000m / 7,000' elevation.
Southern Settlements, our classic day hike in the south west of the Kathmandu valley, offers unique cultural insights into the livelihood of the valley rim dwellers, particularly the Newars. The three-day Valley Vistas hike in the eastern Kathmandu valley rim is a good sampling of trekking in Nepal, using lodge accommodations in Dhulikhel and Nagarkot, two of the most popular vantage points in the Kathmandu valley. Our Annapurna Foothills trek around the Pokhara valley is an amazing around-the-week walk that you can join any day for any number of days. And the Bandipur Break is the best way to break your bus ride between Kathmandu and Pokhara: an overnight in the quaint, charming town of Bandipur, with a hike to the pleasant Magar village of Ramkot.
Come join our group hikes in Kathmandu, Pokhara, and in between! You'll be glad you did.
